A pair of MR20 cantilevered chrome and wicker work seat chairs. This chair is a version of the chair the Mies presented at the model housing exhibition in 1927. This cantilevered chair was originally made using leather but later was developed by Mies and Lilly Resche to produce a version with a wicker seat. This version was said to be Mies van der Rohe's favourite, which he used in his own house, whilst he became director of the Bauhaus. Partial label to underside of chair frame.
